Children's Day Concern Children's Security

Whenever at home or school, children's safety comes to very important especially these days. Incidents, murders, thefts do happen to children. As they are unwary about the danger around him or her, they should get more protection from parents or teachers. We should let them know how to react in emergency situations can mean difference between life and death, and on the other hand, we should use proper equipments to supply them a security environment.
1. Teach them the basics-The most overlooked aspect in home security for children is taking precautions against intruders. Check the locks on the doors and windows before leaving home and when returning. Also, teach children how and when to call 911. Younger kids should know their phone number and address for this purpose. Of course, at school, they will be offered self-defence classes from how to avoid injury to how to counterattack appropriately.
2. Do not give personal information - Computers have become a big part of our lives, especially the former. Children though are not as aware as we'd like them to be about the dangers on the Internet. Therefore, they are more likely to give out their phone number, address, age, name, etc. to people posing as their friends or even peers their own age. Try to keep computers in areas where you can monitor their usage. Help children understand that there are people out there trying to take advantage of them, be it through identity theft or worse still.
3.Come up with a plan of action - It's necessary to always be prepared for the worst. Creating a plan and practice will minimize chaos and confusion in the event of a true emergency, whether it be a fire or invasion. Discussing this in advance and practicing it with children ensures a greater chance of everyone getting to safety. If you have installed a security system, show children how to hit the panic button to alert others of the emergency. The most important thing to remember is to get out. Do not fight with intruders unless it's to escape. Nor should you go back for your belongings. Material possessions are not worth getting hurt over in either case.

When Children Save Money

When children ask for things and it's all just provided for them, they never get the opportunity to really appreciate the value of money or even where it comes from. They need to appreciate that work is needed to have money and, if one is careful with it, it will be there when it's needed. This helps not just in creation of wealth later but also in avoidance of debt.
Kids are accustomed to getting cash from parents. They're also accustomed to seeing adults just walk to an ATM and get cash from a machine. They don't necessarily see the work as well as the planning that has to go into having funds available.
Giving children an allowance according to a regular schedule is one way of getting them used to not having money come in whenever they want it but, rather, at intervals. Be sure that they know what they have to do to earn that money. There are experts who feel it's best that regular chores aren't paid for, as children need to learn responsibility as well. There are probably special chores, however, that could be included so that both goals are accomplished.
You can talk over how a plan can be made to save money for a purchase that's really wanted. You can also talk over how choosing to put money aside without spending it can lead to a greater rate of return which will greatly increase how much they can accumulate. This allows them to start seeing the advantages that come from saving and may decide to do this rather than spend.
On special days like birthdays, you may want to add to your children's investment accounts or purchase some stocks for them. When they see the amount they have getting bigger and bigger, they'll be more anxious to keep working on it themselves. As children save money, they begin learning habits that will help them be wealthy later if they're continued.
